Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer- Southampton *Historical*
My client, a specialist Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join an innovative design Team based in Southampton who specialise in Structural Engineering, Flood Risk, Environmental, River Restoration and Drainage Projects for Historical Sites.
This exciting role will offer you the chance to work on varied Historical Projects for Palaces, Stately Homes and Protected Grounds. You will be required to complete Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water and Foul Water Drainage Strategies and Engineering design using Microdrainage for Government Bodies, Local Authorities and Private Sector Clients.
You will also have the opportunity to complete River Restoration and Environmental Impact Assessments.

Candidates are required to have the ability to diversify into other engineering disciplines and to apply innovation within the heritage sector.
Applicants are also required to have a strong BSc and/or MSc in a relevant discipline including Hydrology or Civil Engineering and ideally experience working for a Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy and detailed design using Microdrainage and AutoCAD.
Applicants are also required to have a keen interest in Drainage Systems, the natural and built Heritage and Flood Alleviation.
It is also beneficial for Applicants to reside locally.
