The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Trainee to join Linden Homes Western, based in our Bristol office. As a business we are able to offer ambitious candidates career progression and development opportunities to support individuals to the next level in their career.

The Finance Trainee is required to provide support to the Finance team and update the core financial systems, which are Oracle, Hyperion Planning and Microsoft Excel.

The Finance team currently consists of a Finance Director, Financial Controller and Management Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration and posting of plot billing and receipts to Oracle ledgers
  • Send out adhoc Accounts Receivable invoices
  • Set up customers in Accounts Receivable
  • Ensure Hyperion Planning MIS is updated with relevant sales, build and financial information.
  • Collation of weekly sales/build packs
  • Administer utility and rates invoices and CO2 reporting
  • Input project ledger journals as instructed and carry out cost investigations as required.
  • Raising month end journals as required and assisting with Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with Purchase Order queries.
  • Process sundry payments ensuring they have correct approval
  • Adhoc duties/filing as requested by Management Accountant


Experience and Qualifications:
    Knowledge of Microsoft office applications Interest in having Finance as a career with aim to study AAT.
  • Keen to gain experience in busy office environment dealing with many different departments.
  • Able to work within a small Finance team
  • Numerate with a strong attention to detail
  • Confident, professional manner
