Partnerships & Regeneration:
Part of our Housebuilding Division, Partnerships and Regeneration represents a fusion of contracting, housing and mixed-use regeneration expertise. We undertake design and build contracting, mixed tenure and speculative development, estate regeneration and property support services nationwide. We work in collaborative long-term arrangements with Registered Providers, Local Authorities and other stakeholders to build high quality housing and sustainable communities

Role Overview:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented, strategic Resourcing Manager to join our dynamic talent team based in South West England. Reporting to the Head of HR for Partnerships & Regeneration, the successful candidate will display strong leadership capabilities and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders. In addition, we're looking for someone who thrives on the challenge of helping build resourcing solutions to develop our recruitment pipelines.

Strategically performs all functions related to hiring qualified employees based on positions needed and representing the company in a professional and positive manner. Will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of potentials candidates to fill various roles across the Partnerships division.

To establish programmes to develop a talent pipeline, ensuring a pipeline of resources for key roles, generic roles, critical level/management gaps and roles which are historically difficult to fill (hotspots).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monthly liaison in relation to Resourcing Planning and roles to be released; i.e., skills specialisation, expected projects, volume, etc…
  • Source candidates using multiple, cost effective channels, utilising direct attraction methods and job boards to build a candidate pipeline/talent; Newspapers, publications, websites, social media
  • Exploring and organising wider talent events to attract volume candidates, ie; careers events, networking, open days
  • Ensure all job descriptions and adverts are current and in line with GTs recruitment policy.
  • Conduct and support interviews where required.
  • Maintenance of the interval vacancy bulletin, including managing content, ensuring effective handling of communication
  • Utilise and govern a recruitment assessment framework; including use of psychometric / behavioural testing to improve quality of hire
  • Advise, coach and up skill hiring managers on the recruitment policies, tools, processes, interviewing skills and on the most appropriate assessment tools to be used to ensure consistency in recruitment that adheres to best practice, is compliant legally and within Group policies
  • Assist in developing creative ideas and strategies to promote Galliford Try P&R in the community and actively promote the GT brand throughout the recruitment process
  • Design and implement talent processes and systems
  • To support with GT group wide projects when required, i.e.; applicant tracking system, design and development of the careers website
  • Report on Recruitment activities including Time to hire, cost per hire, budget management, candidate experience.
  • Work, where appropriate with external recruitment suppliers in partnership to help drive improvements or cost efficiencies. (Monthly / Quarterly PSL meetings to discuss requirement and build relationships)
  • Support the redeployment / outplacement strategy and approach for ensuring as many internal candidates are redeployed
  • Maintain a broad business understanding in order to identify suitable quality candidates who can contribute to the future growth and success of the Partnerships Division
  • Develop and maintain personal expertise and network in the broader HR community to stay abreast of best practice and bring leading edge recruitment thinking
  • Support with the roll-out an ATS, ensuring effective engagement across the group
  • Support the ongoing management and improvement of the induction and on-boarding programme

Experience and Qualifications
  • Proven track record for sourcing quality candidates
  • Full-cycle recruiting experience
  • Experience conducting extensive internet mining and utilise social networking tactics to provide the best qualified candidates.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able work with a level of autonomy.
  • Must have excellent written and oral skills.
  • Ability to source through proven methods using various technology.
  • Has knowledge of Employee Selection Procedures and techniques
  • Has experience developing recruiting strategies, reporting various recruiting metrics.
