Role Overview:
Due to an increase of work on our highly successful MAG framework we are now looking for an SQS with experience in Aviation to join the team at Manchester Airport.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all commercial matters on a project/ number of packages on the Manchester Airport Transformation Programme West Apron Works.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to a Managing QS, the SQS will be responsible for:

· Ensuring accurate records are maintained for their projects
· Ensure appropriate sub-contractor agreements are in place across their projects
· Producing accurate monthly internal and external cost value reconciliations across their packages / projects
· Ensuring change is captured and all notices are issued.
· Instigating any dispute resolution, ensuring all claim notices are issued.
· Ensuring the prompt settlement of Final Accounts

· Assisting with tendering projects under the existing MAG Framework

Experience and Qualifications:
Applicants must be qualified to HND/degree level. Membership of an appropriate professional body would also be desirable.
You must have a proven track of success of delivering projects as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the Aviation civil engineering sector.
Knowledge of the business risks and opportunities associated with project delivery within the Aviation sector.
Experience of management of key suppliers including sub contractors and designers.
Ideally you will have worked for a main contractor and have knowledge of NEC3 contracts

  • A leader providing clear direction in order to achieve 'buy in'
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of commercial knowledge and understanding
