Role Overview:

GTM is a joint venture to deliver works for our client Southern Water. Due to an influx of work coming through on the AMP6 framework we are recruiting for General Foremen across sites on the South Coast.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for controlling all physical elements of the work from commencement through to the issue of the Maintenance Certificate and to maintain and maximise quality of service and profitability

Key Responsibilities:
  • In conjunction with the Site Manager, co-ordinate and control initial site set-up, actively installing GTM's systems and procedures
  • Rigorously apply and enforce methods and controls to ensure the most effective and continuous use of GTM's resources
  • Produce records and data in conjunction with the Commercial Department, to maximise cash collection and profitability
  • Produce and oversee administration to ensure strict financial controls on the payment of the subcontractors, suppliers and operatives
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with all GTM functions to support the overall business objectives
  • In conjunction with the Site Manager, appraise the security risk to all GTM property under your control and install security levels commensurate to the relative values

Experience and Qualifications:
  • You must have proven experience in a similar role within the Water construction industry
  • ONC or HNC (or equivalent) in a construction discipline
  • First Aid trained
  • Preferably confined space trained
