Client side Project Quantity Surveyor job based in Manchester offering £45000 + package
Your new company
You will be working for a leading commercial landlord who are looking to expand the Quantity Surveying team with a Project Quantity Surveyor based in the Manchester office. The business has grown and diversified into new sectors and has a 1.5 million sqft development pipeline and a property portfolio worth over £900 million.
Your new role
As project quantity surveyor you will ensure the team achieves best value for all delivered Project Work. You will undertake valuations as well as manage cost variances during the construction stage and undertaking final account. Duties include: Working with in-house team and external contractors to ensure successful Project delivery. Ensuring all works are procured in line with the achieving best value. Prepare cost estimates for Projects coordinating various trades/suppliers/contractors. Benchmarking Analysis of Supplier Prices. Preparation of Tender Returns and reporting, management of driving value and completing Contract Documentation as required. To provide coordinated Tender returns for refurbishment and fit-out Projects. Agreeing and certifying Valuations. Cash flow forecasting and managing project budgets. Control and reporting of cost variances. Agreement of Final Accounts
What you'll need to succeed
You will have demonstrable experience of running and managing projects from inception to completion ideally in the commercial sector. You will be a quantity surveyor by background and have good knowledge of Contracting and the ability to Take-Off drawings. Commercially aware and financially astute. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
