Senior Quantity Surveyor – Top 3 High End Residential Developer – Aldgate       

Senior Quantity Surveyor required to be the No2 commercially for the remaining works on a large scale project in Central London. With around 18 months left of the programme, this role will be acting as the No.2 for the remaining £200m worth of works.

About the Role: My client has a huge presence in the London and is named as one of the top 10 companies in the industry. They are looking for an experienced Project Surveyor to join their very well established team.


The project, a luxury residential development, which is anticipated for completion in 2019, located in Aldgate, is a large Residential Scheme of almost 1000 units in total. The phase due for completion is the construction of the South East Block, consisting of 268 private, 52 shared ownership and 119 social residential units. There will also be a ground floor retail unit, basement car park and associated plant and external work areas to be completed.

Reporting directly into the Commercial Director you will be expected to hit the ground running and take ownership of the remaining worth of work – 18 months on programme.

About the Requirements;

You shall have gained a reasonable level of experience, working for a main contractor and possess the ambition to progress your career, as there will be plenty of opportunities to do so.


The ideal candidate shall have

  • a Degree in Quantity Surveying/Technical Qualification
  • Min 7 years+ post grad experience with a recognised main contractor
  • An understanding of building regulations and legal obligations
  • Solid experience of financial management and cost control
  • Technical knowledge of managing subcontract packages
