An architecture and urban planning practice based in Central London are seeking a Project Administrator and Document Controller to join their support team for a 6-month fixed term contract. The practice specialises in large scale residential builds and is well known for its work internationally. The Document Controller will report to the Project Leader and work alongside Directors, Architects and CAD Technicians. The ideal candidate will have experience in Document Controller but also be keen to get stuck in across the practice.

Key responsibilities:

  • Using document control software to maintain accurate records for all project documents
  • Understand and implement document control protocols
  • Review all documents to be issued
  • Research and retrieve documents when required
  • Assist project teams and ensure they are working to CAD protocols
  • Diary management for project team
  • Assisting with creating presentations and programmes
  • Printing, scanning, photocopying
  • Updating project directories
  • Ensuring meeting rooms are prepared
  • Dealing with reception duties when requited
  • Distribution of post when required
  • Covering other administrative duties when necessary

Key skills:

  • Previous experience in administrative role within creative environment, preferably architecture or design
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint essential
  • Experience using extranet systems desirable (Conject, Newforma, 4Projects, BIW, Aconex, Asite, MS Project)
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to get stuck in to all tasks to ensure smooth running of project
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive attitude and ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to cope under pressure and meet tight deadlines
