Architect

This just in! I'm currently assisting a close-knit established practice in North London in a search for an Architect for a permanent position with them. Salary circa £40,000 depending on experience.

This is one for you all-rounders out there! You should ideally have 5 years PQE and have a solid background and understanding of the UK residential market. You'll be working across all RIBA stages however there will likely be more of a focus on your experience on planning applications and on the delivery side of things. You'll occasionally be required to visits various sites in London and as such will need experience of working alongside clients and contractors on site. Generally good experience on the client side would put you in good stead for this one, including clear presentations to clients. Sound knowledge of the UK building regulations is a must.

You'll be working on a variety of residential schemes in and around London. The company in questions covers a wide spectrum within this sector, ranging from high-end schemes, social housing and large scale residential developments. It would be beneficial to have good knowledge of all however you'll be spending more time on small-medium sized residential developments and apartments ranging from 20-200 units so if you've a background in anything, make sure it's that! AutoCAD and Revit fluency is required for this one. The company are currently in the process of rolling Revit out and as such require someone at at least an intermediate level of expertise for the software. With regards to your Revit knowledge you'll be asked to produce Revit models rather than technical drawings initially. On top of this experience of NBS and the Adobe Suite would be ideal.

After a very successful few years the company in question are looking to add 2 individuals to the team in the coming month or two. There is an option to work 1 day a week from home as well as flexibility in terms of a start and finish time. ARB and RIBA memberships are paid for on top of some other attractive benefits. This is an urgent yet strategic hire for this practice and if you're keen to develop into a leader of a team in the coming yeas then this could be an ideal opportunity for you. Interviews are ideally looking to take place within the coming 2 weeks with the view for a start of early June. Don't let this one skip you by and get in touch now!
