Assistant Business Manager
ASSET MANAGEMENT & PARKING SERVICES
Salary £39,782.00 – £41,675 GRADE NS14
An opportunity has arisen for a suitably skilled and experienced individual in the post of Assistant Business Manager, reporting to the Business Manager. This role encompasses management of the Council’s land and building assets and involves providing a comprehensive service in the management of the maintenance, improvement and renewal of assets.
You will manage a small team which deals with Asset Management, Building Services, Architectural Design, Facilities, Energy, Estates Management and Contract Management. The role also covers working alongside the business units Parking Services Manager.
The successful applicant will have experience in surveying activities including site inspections, condition surveys, preparation of specification and tenders and procurement of contractors including project and financial management. You will be able to demonstrate evidence of a proven track record of strategic Asset Management and maximising use of assets. You should also demonstrate experience of all relevant legislative requirements and procedures. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a property-related discipline and possess full membership of RIBA, RICS or similar body.
The candidate should possess good interpersonal and communication skills and a proven ability to work as part of a team. You will take ownership of work, outcomes and problem-solving throughout the District. You should be willing to adopt a flexible attitude to work including working weekends, bank holidays and overtime and call out as required.
