Associate Architect

This is one of the jobs not to be missed! An established nationwide Architectural Practice are currently on the hunt for an Associate Architect to work in their Surrey office. Essentially this is a permanent position however the initial probation period would be on a freelance/contract basis for 3 months. Salary is up to £50,000 pa depending on experience.

This position is all bout stepping into a leadership role, you could be considered if you've been working at an Associate level recently or indeed if you're a senior Architect looking to take the next step on the ladder. You'll be working across all RIBA stages so a background and a track record of working on projects from concept to completion would be ideal.

You'll be working on residential developments of varying sizes, ranging from 200-400 units. Alongside the management of such schemes you'll be required to attend site visits and produce site layouts. An important aspect to this position is your experience with masterplanning, the company in question has a successful background within Urban Design and masterplanning so you're experience and interest would need to mirror this. When it comes to the masterplanning- using a computer with all the fancy software is required however the main skill needed will be your ability to use a pen and pencil! Back to the old school. Sound knowledge and experience of hand drawing masterplans would certainly be on of the main skills sought after for this one.

The company in question are an established group with a number of office in the UK. If you're Surrey based that would be ideal however due to the nature of the projects coming through if you're on the M4 corridor this could also suit.
