The property, planning and design team in the Strategic Estates team are seeking a BIM Team Lead.
The Parliamentary Estate consists of 37 buildings across approximately 240,000 square metres. It’s a mixture of freehold and leasehold properties and Parliament also leases commercial units to tenants. 75% of the Estate is listed, including two Grade 1 properties - The Palace of Westminster and Norman Shaw North. The Palace of Westminster also forms part of a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Property, Planning and Design team help secure Parliament’s future by providing specialist support functions to programme and project delivery teams, including: estates surveying, asset planning, systems development (including Enterprise Project Management, NEC3 workflow tool and a common data environment); engineering (including Building Information Modelling/Digital Asset management); conservation and architectural services and advice; supplier performance management, and; corporate real estate management and space planning.
The role of the BIM Team Lead is to:
- Manage and maintain digital records for the Parliamentary estate
- Provide access to estates records to internal stakeholders and approved external suppliers, and
- Maintain accurate digital records in support of parliamentary plans for the development and use of a digital twin
You will have a Degree qualification or equivalent in Architecture, Building Services or Clerical Management. You will have a sound understanding and demonstratable experience with Project Management and BIM software (authoring and review), Microsoft Office and web-enabled software.
You will also have a sound understanding of established BIM processess and toolsets at an advanced level. You will also have a broad base of knowledge extending from general contractual and construction knowledge through to specifics in the areas of information workflows, modelling and data delivery.
