HMP Bristol is all male adult closed prison. It is a category B prisons and holds convicted and remanded inmates from local courts.
Your new role
As the sole agency supplier to HM prison service for the provisions of maintenance and support, Hays is seeking to recruit an experienced cleaner for HMP Bristol.
The Prison is looking for an experienced cleaner to join the works department. No formal qualifications are needed.
Your new role will be at an east accessible prison, with strong public transport links and side street parking.
As part of this role you will be required to carry out general cleaning duties such as, mopping floors, cleaning surfaces , toilets, showers etc.. you will only be responsible for cleaning public areas not wings/cells.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years cleaning experience and knowledge of chemical colour coding. They must also be security conscious and have strong/ clear communication skills.
Applicants will be subject to HM Prison service security clearance and may include Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) check. You Must hold a valid passport or Birth certificate and driving licence in you current address. All applicants must provide details of 2 satisfactory references, at least on from and ex-employer
