Climate Change Manager required for forward-thinking Council in Hampshire
My client is a ambitious and progressive council in Hampshire. They are recognised for their innovation and achievements, and for delivering high quality services to their customers and the community.
They are looking for an experienced Environmental professional to lead on the coordination and delivery of the council's Climate Change and Environmental Emergency response programmes.
The successful candidate will have extensive working knowledge relating to Environmental Management, Energy Management, Climate Projections, Climate - Adaptation and Sustainable Transport. In addition, experience of Programme Management and of developing KPI's/PI's to manage performance as well as demonstrable financial management experience is essential.
You will have effective people management skills through a Performance Management mind to enable proactive allocation of resources. You will be required to demonstrate an ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm, even when the pressure of workload is high. You will have good IT skills and the ability to use relevant specialist software.
Applicants will be an Environmental Management Practitioner or similar and educated to Degree level, or equivalent, in an Environmental Management or related subject.
