Your new company
Contracts Manager required in SE London by an established and steadily expanding Main Contractor. Working predominantly in the 'Decent Homes' & Local authority refurbishment markets the successful candidate will be 1 of 2 Cm's over seeing between 3-5 Projects depending on Size. Projects are typically in the 500k - £2Mill Range and range from 'decent homes' internal and external refurbishments to school extensions, small residential new builds, roofing works and occasional hospital projects. With multiple new projects secured in the last 3 months this is a newly created role to cope with the ongoing new workload, all new sites are in the SE London area.
Your new role
As Contracts manager you will be expected to take control of sites directly from project award, this includes helping break out packages and procure sub contractors, Programming, setting up Health & safety (with the assistance of the HSE manager) Overseeing the Site management team, Daily liaison and escalation point for the Client and generally Co-Ordination all parties. This is a well-established business with a high retention rate, full orderbook and a great reputation, you will be working as 1 of 3 CM's in a busy construction department.
What you'll need to succeed
Interested candidates will be able to demonstrate clear experience of Contracts management in the decent homes / Local authority refurbishment sector. You must also be it literate and upto date with the current H&S legislation in regards to site and be comfortable overseeing multiple schemes from the office.
