Design Manager (Resi/Hotels)
Design Manager - Resi/Hotels - Myanmar US$96,000 net + package
Our client is the PM consultancy arm of a leading SE Asian Developer, established for over 30 years. They have a current need for a Design Manager to join their team to support and oversee projects, focusing on Hotels and Residential/Apartment projects.
You will support the PD, managing projects including the design and construction process; with the key aim of completing the projects to the desired quality on time and to budget. Reporting to the PD, your role will include both design and project management responsibilities on an existing hotel project with future phased developments in the pipeline.
You will:
Completing/updating the monthly program, cost and general reports. (These will cover the generation of % completion and cash flow etc)
Any notifications to Government departments related to design or construction as Required. Managing the master program for the design and construction phases of the project.
Develop and manage and coordinate the DW program. Leading the design function liaising with client and taking responsibility for overall design coordination (architectural, interior design, MEP) process and management of appointed consultants design team.
Managing Deliverables of design and team and engineering coordination. Ensuring all design documents and work are appropriately filed and recorded in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
Organising and scheduling design review meetings. Managing and mentoring the Design team.
In addition, your role will support and oversee:
Tenders for contract packages, and material supply reviewing and evaluating the client side tender and selection process. Checking availability of key materials and plant, initiating orders for long delivery items to meet the program. Monitoring design information flow and client approvals. Setting‐up regular meetings with consultants, contractors, sub‐contractors and suppliers. Implementing OHSE and anti‐corruption procedures.
You will have/be:
A Degree in Engineering or Design with 10 or more years PQE
Recent relevant experience working on Luxury Hotels (ideally in SE Asia) and Luxury Residential developments. Experience working for both contractor and consultant/client preferred.
IT literate Fluent in English
