Your new company
This multi-disciplinary consultancy is a small but busy business, working across multiple sectors including; commercial, healthcare, education, retail and residential. They offer a wide range of services which include architectural design, project management, CDM services, H&S and Building Surveying.
The building surveying element of the business has not been as productive as it should have been over the years, mainly because it hasn't had the focus it needed from the right individual, it currently only accounts for 10% of the overall company turnover. The MD has decided to invest in moving the division forward and rather than try to develop it himself, he wants a more appropriate individual to come on board to grow and build their presence in the market place, as well as grow the team.
Not only will you be given full autonomy to move the division forward as you see fit, you will also be 2nd in command to the MD and over time be given more control over time due to a recent acquisition of another business, meaning the MD will focus on that business whilst you will manage the overall business.

The role will be split with business development, fee income and management as well as being a bit hands on as the growth of the division takes place. What you'll need to succeed
