Electrical Engineer - East Midlands - Public sector - Local Authority - Paying up to £40 per hour.
Your new company
A public sector organisation who are based within the East Midlands are looking to recruit an Electrical Engineer on a temporary contract. This local authority has over 200+ commercial properties on their portfolio, mainly compromising of schools, care homes, leisure centres and other public buildings.
Your new role
You will be responsible for providing electrical services technical expertise in relation to a number of departments such as; planned & reactive maintenance, small capital works, adaptations, refurbishments and alterations. Your role will encompass a number of duties including carrying out condition surveys and reports, and producing estimates, specifications, drawings and work schedules for tendering purposes.
This role will be based both in office and on site with the flexibility to work from home with the permission of your line manager. You will ensure effective project management for minor electrical service installations. alongside carrying out design duties.
For the majority of any designs you will be required to produce, you will be using AutoCAD. However, this organisation is slowly moving into Revit and so some projects will be carried out in this software.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience working for a Public Sector organisation within a similar role would be beneficial, however previous working experience with an organsiation who have a large Estate would be acceptable. You will have the experience and skills to showcase that you are able to complete a project from conception to completion to a high standard. Use of Amtech and AutoCAD are essential with a strong Electrical Design background. You must have a HNC or equivalent qualification.
