Electrical Engineering Manager
PO7: Starting salary £ 53,490 pa rising in annual increments to £56,640 per annum
This is an exciting opportunity to join Lambeth Council’s in their Compliance Team.
You will be an experienced manager with a technically qualified background in electrical engineering, combined with the ability to manage both a staff team and specialist contractors.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Compliance working within Housing at Lambeth.
You will be responsible for the management of our electrical compliance and service contracts across all of Lambeth’s HRA assets to ensure compliance and statutory checks/servicing, repairs related to lifts, door entry, EICRs, emergency lighting, estate lighting and CCTV.
Managing the external specialist compliance contracts will be part of the remit to ensure high quality delivery of works that are statutory and regulatory compliant. Effective control monitoring and review including mitigation of risk and contracts in regards compliance, service, record keeping and financial/budget delivery. Management of electrical asset life and project management of the refurb/replacement equipment and plant.
You will be qualified electrical engineer, but you will also be an experienced manager, in terms of your people, your contractors and your projects. Social housing sector experience is also preferable.
You’ll also have an in-depth knowledge of Northgate and Power BI
