Estimator - Main Contractor
Permanent Estimator role, Derbyshire based main contractor, Multiple Sector works. Salary Negotiable
You will be working for a leading Derbyshire based main contractor who have works across the Education, Hotel, Student Accommodation, Healthcare, Distribution, Leisure and Retail works. Due to continued success in the market the organisation have a permanent Estimator role to join their pre construction team.
Your new role
The successful candidate will work as part of the pre-construction team respond to enquiries with accuracy and commercial viability. You will be highly motivated and be enthusiastic about the construction industry. You will possess experience in an Estimating role working to pressure and meeting tight deadlines.The successful candidate would preferably have experience in a similar role within a Design and Build, Main Contracting organisation.
Key Duties include;
Ability to measure and price all tasks required on a full design and build project
Prepare quick cost assessments or detailed estimates based on the time and level of information using standard estimating software
Good communication skills to maintain a professional approach with supply chain and clients
Confidence in presenting their work to senior management
Create enquiry packages and engage with supply chain to ensure scope and pricing is correct.
Developing and evolving our supply chain to serve the different market sector
What you'll need to succeed
You will have an excellent eye for detail and an analytical mindset. The role is vital to the commercial viability of the projects and successful candidates must have main contracting Estimating experience.
