Experienced Architectural Technician

A fresh new role has just become available, for an experienced Architectural Technician to join a 40 year old Architectural practice, centred in the Market Harborough area of Leicester.

Their requirement is focused on sourcing a Technologist with circa 2-3 years post degree UK experience, and a good understanding of ArchiCAD software will be needed for this role.

80% of their workload is split between Primary Healthcare / veterinary and Residential (ranging from estate master planning to social and affordable to residential care and high end one off houses) and, relevant project familiarity would be attractive to my client. This will be an initial office based position, mainly technical work and as you progress with the team, you will start to take on more site based duties, whereby you'd be eventually running your own projects from concept to completion.

They are an apple mac based office and all staff work on state-of-the-art iMacs. Their CAD system is ArchiCad, currently running on version 22 (always run the latest version) and relevant experience, and proven work samples are always preferred in using this type of software.

They have a fully secure COVID office, with 4 people working here currently, while the rest of the team are working remotely. My client would prefer that a new starter, started directly from their office. This allows for better integration with the team, and you can gain a greater understanding of their culture and ways of working. It will also mean that you'll receive hands on mentoring from the team, deal with any queries you may have there and then and make you feel 100% comfortable to carry out your duties on a day to day. Remote working may follow this initial months induction, dependent on the latest government guidelines.

Salary on offer is circa £28-35k PA.
