Our civils construction team provide a vital in house design and build service by helping to ensure we construct and maintain the assets to supply water and provide sewerage services to our 2.8 million customers. We now have a fantastic opportunity for you to join the team.

As one of our general construction operatives, you will be involved in carrying out construction site activities, including excavation, pipe-laying, operating plant, general groundworks and concreting. You will do this as instructed by the site management team to ensure that all works are completed and compliant with company policies and procedures.

You will also be required to attend and participate in team briefs, safety updates and workplace communications to ensure the works are carried out to the best possible standard. You will be working within a great team which works outdoors in all weathers and deals with different challenges every day, providing a vital service to our client. 

These roles are site based with sites all around our region. We’re looking for people with a positive, can-do attitude, who are also great team players. Safety is key for us and were looking for people who demonstrate an awareness of all things health, safety and wellbeing related. We will need you to hold a valid driving license so that you can get to our (often remote) sites and to operate plant. Ideally, we are looking for people with construction, groundworks or agricultural experience with knowledge of plant operation, location of underground services, working at heights, manual handling, asbestos awareness and confined spaces however training can be provided.
