Intermediate Employer's Agent
I am seeking an Intermediate Employer's Agent to join a firm of construction consultants working on projects across the South East and East of England.
This office is based in the South East London / Kent borders area but you will mainly be visiting sites.
Projects are of high value and include residential and mixed use buildings, new build.
You should be enthusiastic to join a dynamic team.
Your background could be in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction Project Management or similar and you will need to have gained experience doing the Employer's Agent role.
This is a good opportunity for someone at assistant level to step up to intermediate level.
My client is a large firm of construction consultants offering cost management, project management and EA services with offices in London and the South East plus in the East of England.
You will be a Building Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, Project Manager or similar with at least 2 years post graduate experience working for another firm of construction consultants and have gained experience of the Employer's Agent role at Assistant level.
You will either be working towards becoming chartered with the RICS or you may be more senior and already be chartered.
You will have gained some EA experience to include acting on behalf of the client, have experience of Contract Administration of construction constracts, be able to issue instructions, co-ordinate review of infomation prepared by the contractor, review progress of works, prepare reports for the client, validate payments, arrange and monitor commissioning and inspections, arrange handover, certify practical completion, bring defects to attention of the contractor and issue the certificate of making good defects etc.
Salary will be up to c. £45000 or slightly more according to experience plus pension, support to become chartered if not chartered already etc.
