Intermediate Quantity Surveyor - German speaking

THE ROLE

My client is now seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor in the Building Construction industry who speaks both English and German (B2 level) to join my client in Germany. You will work from their office in Berlin with travel in Germany as required.

You are likely to have a Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Construction Economics and have somewhere in the region of three / five years experience as a quantity surveyor with a firm of consultant / PQS.

You will do both pre contract and post contract work so a background in private practice quantity surveying or client side is preferred.

Projects will be varied and include buildings across a number of sectors including residential, mixed use, commercial, leisure and more.

Good experience in cost management for construction projects is essential.

They provide both cost management and project management services.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager, with good English and German at B2 or C1 level minimum.

You will need to have a Degree or Diploma in a Construction / Built environment subject and have good experience of quantity surveying and cost management experience ideally with both pre and post contract experience.

You should have around three / five years or a bit more experience working for a firm of PQS as a Quantity Surveyor and you may be working towards becoming chartered with the RICS or already be chartered. Support will be given for those working towards chartered status.

You should have experience of cost control and cost management of projects from inception to delivery.

You will need experience of projects from feasibility studies right through all projects stages to include project delivery and final accounts.

You may not have worked in Germany previously but German at B2 is essential.

Salary is in the region of Euro 60000 to 72000 per annum.
