Maintenance Officer (Trainee Surveyor) job on a 12 month Fixed-Term Contract

The will be a 12 month Fixed-Term contract.
Your new role
As a Maintenance Officer you will ideally be coming from a multi-skilled trades background or have a relevant building surveying degree. You will provide support to the Building Surveyor/Property Services Manager by assisting with visiting tenants for pre inspections to assess potential defects for repairs and will visit tenants to undertake post inspections of the repairs to see whether the works have been carried out to the correct standard and the value of works is correct.You will one of four as a point of contact when tenants raise queries and issues with their properties over the phone in the office to deliver customer service and advice.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a minimum qualification in City and Guilds or NVQ and with a trades background. You will need to have a positive working attitude with the enthusiasm to learn and develop your skills. You will need to have an understanding of buildings with an eye to detail and a professional manor when answering the phone for tenant queries.
