Permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Surveyor to join provider of care homes in Somerset
Your new company
You will be joining a charitable orginasation who are responsible for operating over 27 care homes across the Somerset region. You will deal with a wide range of property types, from historic buildings to new build across multi-site location in the south west, joining a company with a clear and defined social purpose in a role which enables you to make a tangible difference to the lives of the residents.
Your new role
As a Maintenance Surveyor you will undertake a varied position which will include responding to building issues and completing identification of defects before ensuring repairs are carried out to the correct standard. You'll also assist with creating schedules of works and supervise specialise contractors in the delivery of minor planned works.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll need to have a background in property maintenance, which could be working on the contractor-side or as a surveyor for a similar organisation. Ideally you'll have a good understanding of property and how to identify and repair defects, and either have achieved or be working towards an HNC or equivalent in construction or similar.
What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a salary of between £26,000 - £28,000 per year at a starting level, depending on your level of experience upon joining. You'll also receive support and training in order to further progress and gain new skills alongside generous annual leave and access to a contributory pension scheme.
