£50,000-£60,000 p/a + package
I am recruiting on behalf of a fantastic construction business who merged on their on over 5 years ago. They have gone from strength to strength in their business, winning many awards they are proud of. Their southern division is having a re-structure, and they require a managing estimator to join the business. They have an exceptional reputation and are awarded for their graduate programme scheme, meaning they offer people the chance to learn and grow with the business. They are a very well person centred business, striving to listen and give employees guidance on how to further develop their career. This business also has an outstanding charity partnership which they give employees the chance to contribute yearly in to certain events and plans. This will be based within Hampshire along the New Forest region.
You will be expected to work Monday-Friday as the managing estimator. You will have an estimator and an assistant reporting to you as the team. Day to day duties include: actively contribute to development and delivery of the six point plan, ensure tenders are thoroughly assessed and understood, report on viability of the tender and make recommendations whilst risk assessing and allocate resources across tenders ensuring adequate resource is anticipated and agreed. The main purpose is to provide the business with the best net cost and margin to win work in line with business strategy.
Must have extensive knowledge within the building sector in construction, must have extensive knowledge in estimating, must have experience in being a managing estimator and be very confident and competent in work approach. You must be professional, enthusiastic and encourage other colleagues to deliver and recognise success as per company culture. Even have a mind set of making a difference so not afraid to challenge and come up with innovative ways to be more productive. They need somebody who has the approach of making a difference and wanting to succeed with the business.
