Decontamination technician job NHS

You will be working for a renowned NHS trust in South London, as part of a dynamic and industry leading engineering team.
Your new role
You will be responsible for maintaining, testing, commissioning and validating sterilisers, autoclaves, washers/disinfectors (including endoscope disinfection machines) and endoscope drying cabinets in accordance with the requirements of Department of Health best practice Health Technical Memorandum Choice framework for local policy and procedures (CFPP)
What you'll need to succeed
An engineering background is a necessity.
3 Year apprenticeship served in mechanical / electrical building services
BTEC HNC in mechanical or electrical engineering
Additional specialist training including
Test Person Sterilises
Test Person Washer disinfectors
Test Person endoscope washers
Test Person - Drying Cabinets
Authorised Person - Decontamination
Desirable: HND Mechanical engineering or building services
The right candidate will have comprehensive experience in fault finding and planned maintenance of a wide range of building / mechanical services engineering installations, i.e steam distribution systems, ho water systems, ventilation plant, RO plant, compressors and pumps
What you'll get in return
This job boasts sociable working hours, Monday - Friday 8-4.30 and a generous rate of £20 an hour
