Our client is a leading design and build contractor who specialise in state-of-the-art buildings and facilities across the UK. With a strong focus on growing one side of their business, they are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee their facilities and maintenance division.
Your new role
As Operations Manager you will play a pivotal role in the management and coordination of contracts and engineering personnel. You will also directly manage the entire supply chain right the way through from sourcing to installation of mechanical building maintenance. You will deal directly with contracts and the M&E Engineer s to oversee the maintenance of extremely complex building services across several innovative industries.
What you'll need to succeed
Our client is seeking an experienced individual with a strong background in mechanical design. It's important that the majority of your career has been as a Facilities Manager / Operations Manager, but that you have a very strong understanding of the design process from a mechanical perspective for you to be successful in managing this side of the business.
You will need to understand the design and the maintenance process so you can effectively communicate with all levels in the business. You will have extensive experience in managing teams of contractors as well as directly liaising with industry suppliers to provide quick solutions where necessary.
