Operations Manager to Manage in-house Groundwork & Frames Division for Growing Main Contractor £competitive

An established Main Contractor with a strong Order-book and continually growing Turnover are now seeking an operations manager to oversee a new in-house Groundwork's and Frames division. The division will undertake work on in-house schemes only with a view to improving control, quality and profitability. With multiple new sites due to start over the next 12 months, many medium to high rise RC frames there is over £15 Mill of groundwork's to be let or managed in-house. The key to the success of the new division is the Operations manager who will oversee all strategic decisions and help build the workforce and processes.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the MD you will full operational control of the RC frames and Groundwork's division, This will include recruitment, Strategy, processes, allocation of resources, budgeting etc. Your primary role will be to deliver multiple groundwork's packages within budget and programme that are currently being subbed out. The division is a new venture for the business, as such you will be heavily involved in resourcing the required labour and plant and liaising with the various in-house stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
This is a Key role within the business and one that required and a clear skill-set of experiences. The successful candidate will have clear and obvious experience of managing a Frames/groundwork's business and be familiar with the sector specific challenges and issues that delivering packages in-house will entail. You will be based within commutable distance to SE London and be comfortable overseeing projects in the Greater London area. Candidates are expected to be working as a senior Contracts manager, Director or potentially MD level currently and be working for a sub-contractor or in-house groundwork division
