Project/Technical Architect

The days are getting colder but it's heating up in Hampshire! I've just taken on a number of positions at a respectable, medium sized practice in the Winchester area who are seeking both a Project Architect as well as a Technical Architect on a permanent basis. Salary range is between £40-45,000 pa depending on experience.

You should have at least 2 years PQE to be considered for this one, you'll be working under one of the Senior Architects or Associates and may well have the opportunity to manage a small team underneath you so any leadership qualities would go far. This is very much a technical position where you'll be working within the latter RIBA stages, good experience from RIBA stage 4 is a must. This will largely be an office based role however you will be required to attend site visits on a regular basis, the ability to drive would be a big bonus. In the long term good job running experience would suit but as mentioned above initially you'll need to get hands on with putting together detailing packages and construction drawings. You're ability to communicate effectively both with various teams within the office as well as clients is required. As with most technical position a sound understanding of UK building regulations is vital.

You'll be working within the residential team which spans a wide range of residential schemes including very high-end properties in the Hampshire area, manor houses and single dwelling residential developments (up to 200 units in size). Residential experience is required and if you could illustrate as much variety within a portfolio which reflects the above would be ideal. The company in questions are also known for their listed buildings and conservation work so an interest in this area could work alongside your residential experience.

ArchiCAD is the main software in use. If you're not a fluent user or never used it at all then don't let this deter you as the company will provide training and regularly but employees who've never used ArchiCAD through their training scheme with this- all you need is a willingness to learn!

This is one of those established companies with an array of attractive benefits and personal development programs. On top of this there is a commitment to flexible working so if this sounds like the one for you then please don't delay and get in touch now. We have a start in mind for early January with interviews looking to take place before the end of November.
