Project officer urgently required for a local London authority
Your new company
A North London local authority is looking for a Project Officer to join their Environmental & Regeneration department. Development of the green infrastructure network is particularly important in the borough as it has the second lowest proportion of green space (as a proportion of overall land), and the second lowest amount of open space, out of all the local authorities in the country.
Your new role
You will be required to assist the Project Manager in strategic organization and service delivery of landscape projects. You will also be responsible for managing projects of your own and playing a lead role in the procurement and administration of fairly large-scale construction contracts in the public realm.
What you'll need to succeed
It is essential that you have experience/background in parks, infrastructure improvements, regeneration or landscaping. You will need to be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of people including contractors, other agencies and the local community. You will also be required wwithin specified projects, to lead and manage diverse teams of both in -house, consultant landscape architects, engineers, cost-consultants, planning supervisors, and other strategic partners to deliver a wide range of high -quality open space improvement schemes.
