You will be working for a highly respected multi-disciplinary UK contractor. They have an extensive portfolio of completed and current high profile major projects, and currently have a turn over more than £500 million per year. Major projects include clients such as major bridges, culverts and structures on a wide range of road and rail upgrades across the UK, as well as runways for airports and the Ministry of Defence.
Your new role
This role will see you placed within a dynamic team on a high profile defence project valued at over £70 million, in the heart of the North East. Reporting into the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be part of the commercial team on this project, with a main part of the role overseeing subcontractor packages. This role is a permanent ongoing role, with this project in particular ongoing until March 2021, with then a pipeline of projects in the area after following on.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with ideally a minimum 5 years experience and from a civils background. Experience in NEC contracts is essential- you will be dealing with mostly option C, however some parts will also be options A & B.
Your experience will include overseeing subcontractor packages with values up to £4 million, and you will ideally have major project experience circa £50 million and above. Being degree qualified is sought after, however extensive experience within projects of similar nature and a proven successful track record within this sector will also qualify you for this role. This role will be site based, so you should be within commutable distance to Lossiemouth.
