Schools Quantity Surveyor outside of IR35
Your new company
This public-sector organisation is currently looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to work on their school's maintenance and refurbishment programmes. The Schools/Education Capital programme has identified an investment spend requirement of c£200m across 52 sites and 59 schools/centres in the maintained estate.
Your new role
A programme of this size requires an experienced Quantity Surveyor who will be responsible for collecting and monitoring data on spend activity within the programme and advising on risks related to budget and best value investment opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you will advise and work with the Capital Programme management team on procedures, standards/policies that may be impacting on the successful delivery of the programme. You will need to demonstrate your all-round knowledge and experience of:
- Assessment of financial data
- Budget planning, monitoring, and forecasting
- Cash flow forecasting
- Risk management
- Investment value management
- Programme development and planning
You will need to have a Quantity Surveying degree background, or Degree courses such as building studies, building engineering, construction engineering management etc. It will also be an advantage if you have experience of working in schools however this is not an essential requirement.
