A QS / Project Manager job in Lancashire paying £60,000 + for a privately-owned developer / contractor.
Your new company
You will join a privately-owned developer / contractor who work across the North West on conversion, refurbishment and new build schemes. They focus on acquiring traditional old buildings and converting them into high spec residential / apartments. They have an inhouse architect, land buyer, procurement manager, site managers and sales people. They sub contract all trades and carry a hand full of direct tradesman. Due to company growth their MD has decided to grow their team by appointing a QS / Project Manager to work alongside their team of directors. They are a small but growing business who has a passion for bespoke developments. They have built excellent relationships with local authorities and have a strong client base.
Your new role
You will report to their MD and take on a dual role of surveying and project management. You will manage a selection of developments and will see the projects from start to finish. You will oversee costings / pricing and negotiating and ensure the project is running to schedule by preparing programmes. You will build relationships with sub-contractors and the site managers will report to you, they will manage the day to day site teams and trades staff.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced QS OR Project Manager who is keen to take on a dual role. You will be looking for a new challenge and will be interested in quality developments. You will have sound knowledge of construction techniques and processes and you will be able to bring contacts / relationships to this company as you help them continue to grow. As the business continues to flourish your career will expand and you will gain experience working within a dual position.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 (negotiable for the right person) + Car Package etc. You will have full support from the Directors and as the business grows, your role will too. You will work on high end projects across the North West region and have the potential to grow a team in the future.
