Senior Asset Manager (MRICS)

Your new company

Your new company is a Surrey based landlord with a large and diverse property portfolio consisting of operational and non operational assets.

The organisation has a dedicated property team that cover maintenance and management, regeneration & development, as well as valuation, investment and asset management across the portfolio.

Your new role
Your new role will be to lead a team of surveyors and junior surveyors focusing on valuations, appraisals, lease renewals, re-gears and releases, rent reviews, acquisitions and disposal strategies, and development options across the portfolio.

The overall goal of your role will be to utilise your team of surveyors to maximise the profitability of the portfolio through increasing the number of leased properties, gaining best value for money on rent, identifying investment strategies through re-purposing, regenerating or acquiring new assets and disposing of liabilities or land for an appropriate cost.

You will also be responsible for managing a team, as well as developing and supporting surveyors, mentoring them through their APC to improve their experience and career progression.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you will need to hold a property related degree and be an MRICS qualified surveyor, with a background in commercial property, development, asset management or estates surveying.

You will need a strong understanding of how local authorities operate, and the processes, policies and obstacles related to portfolio management.

You will need to be able to work independently, and feel comfortable carrying out valuations, managing lease renewals, negotiating acquisitions and disposals, and providing development proposals, as you will oversee surveyors providing these and will need to be able to assist.

What you'll get in return
In return for your work you will receive an annual salary of up to £50K PA, a local authority pension and cover for your business mileage.

Your working week will be 36 hours, with core hours between 10am and 4pm. You can work flexibly, with the potential to work from home a day a week, and you will receive a mobile phone and laptop to enable you to do so.

You will benefit from working with a close knit like-minded team and a line manager with years of experience who can support you in your role.
