Planner / Senior Planner (Rail) - Kilsyth, Glasgow.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Planner who can strengthen our delivery services team in Scotland Rail Division.

Your mission

We seek someone who combines a passion for developing innovative methods for construction planning with a disciplined and responsible approach to safety, project controls and contract administration during project delivery.

P6 Experience is required and have at least 3 years' experience in the software and will require the ability to work on their own with support via teams due to current circumstances (COVID-19). Candidate will also need to have the ability to communicate with the site teams in order to provide information for programmes to be updated. They must also be able to analyse any changes that has occurred within programmes and feed this back to the site teams. Ideally some rail experience (working with Network Rail GRIP processes) would be an advantage.

Initially you will be working from home due to current restrictions and when safe to do so will be based in Kilsyth Office. Some travel including overnight stays may be required in order to support our project teams once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

Required Experience

Your qualifications, skills and experience should include:
A qualification in civil engineering/ construction to HND or degree level preferred. Some experience of railway projects with an understanding of Network Rail's GRIP process. Some understanding of commercial and contractual matters preferred. A clear ability for logical thinking and working in an orderly fashion. Experience and understanding of programming techniques. The ability to communicate effectively. Competency in the use of P6 and in the use of Microsoft Office. The ability to work to defined, often challenging, timescales.
