Senior Quantity Surveyor
I am seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor who is MRICS qualified and who has a BSc in Quantity Surveying to join a firm of PQS in Washington DC.
Please note my client is hoping to be able to get visas for British, Irish, Australian, New Zealand and South African passport holders. People from the USA and Canada also welcomed!
You will work on new build, refurbishment and fit out projects for a range of buildings and infrastructure projects.
You help to run projects and you will report to a Principal QS or Director depending on size of project.
There will be excellent prospects for promotion within this growing firm.
My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing project management, project controls and cost management services mainly to public sector clients.
They have two offices in the USA.
You will be a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager in the building construction industry.
You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry and have gained both pre and post contract quantity surveying experience.
You will either have a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying which is RICS accredited or a similar degree and you will need to have gained experience of working as a QS for another firm of private practice quantity surveyors or multi disciplinary consultants.
You will be MRICS qualified and have a BSc in Quantity Surveying.
You will have gained five years or more experience of pre and post contract duties including feasibility studies, cost estimating, cost planning, tender documentation and award, contract administration and all post contract duties.
You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.
Salary is negotiable according to your experience but likely to be in the range of US$125000 to US$140000 plus medical insurance, discretionary bonus etc.
