Senior Structural CAD Technician

THE ROLE

A great opportunity for a SENIOR STRUCTURAL CAD TECHNICIAN to join my client, a firm of engineering consultants in their Warwickshire office.

You will lead a team of six people and work on civil and structural engineering drawings and details using AutoCAD plus getting involved in some surveys and possibly design.

The projects are mainly building structures but any knowledge of highways and drainage would be useful although not essential.

Projects currently are mainly low and medium rise building structures.

Revit experience would also be useful.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to have a an HND, HNC or similar diploma in an appropriate Built Environment subject.

You must have at least five years of more experience in using AutoCAD and Revit experience would be useful.

You will need to have experience of reinforced concrete detailing.

Good experience of working on building structures is essential.

You should have an understanding of NHBC Chapter 4.2 building near trees ideally.

You should have the ability to manage your own workload within agreed time scales.

You will need to be able to supervise and help train and mentor junior CAD technicians.
