Site Manager opportunity with leading house builder

We are delighted to be working again with one of our national clients, a leading builder of mixed speculative and housing association schemes with a reputation for quality, customer focus and innovation. As a result of the recent confirmation of new mixed-ownership developments in the south-west, they have a forthcoming requirement for a highly experienced site manager to lead one of their flagship schemes in Somerset.
Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Build Manager, you will take responsibility for a new timber-frame development of 2, 3 and 4 bed homes in Somerset, with involvement from pre-construction phase identifying and interviewing potential subcontractors and ensuring licenses are in place before taking control of construction operations on site this summer.
Key duties will include programming of works, supervision and coordination of direct staff and subcontractors, managing progress meetings and logging progress reports, raising potential issues to senior management, ensuring materials are available on site, setting and controlling quality standards, and overseeing all aspects of health and safety.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be able to demonstrate:
- a high level of understanding of housebuilding using timber frame,
- excellent communication skills
- excellent problem-solving capability and
- a determination to deliver a high-quality product.
Minimum qualifications for this role are CSCS Supervisor or above, SMSTS and 1st aid.
