B&W Tunnelling are recruiting!
B&W are Wales’ leading tunnelling and trenchless contractor, working across the UK. B&W are
market leading with an extensive fleet of equipment, and early adopters of new techniques and
technologies.
Candidate:
The preferred candidate will have a site engineering background, minimum of 7 years’ experience
in civil engineering/water industry and understanding of SHEQ, trenchless techniques.
NEBOSH, knowledge of NEC contracts, commercial matters, CAD would be advantageous.
Ideally SMSTS qualified, CPCS appointed person/lift supervisor, TWS/TWC – however training and
certification will be provided.
Candidate will be involved from award of contract, design development through construction to
testing and handover.
Remuneration:
B&W can offer a salary of £45-65k depending on experience, five weeks holiday, company vehicle,
pension.
Flexible working from home or head office is available, however due to the nature of the business
the candidate will be required to work away some days of the week.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Understand the scheme requirements and potential solutions.
Prepare RAMS & site files, lift plans.
Liaise with designers, review drawings to ensure practical and cost-effective solution.
Order materials, call-offs, plant & transport.
Monitor & maintain SHEQ compliance & ensure site records completed.
Liaise with client & advise on programme & progress & cost implications.
Check invoices & challenge where appropriate.
Manage site resources and performance.
