Our Subsea client is looking for Mechanical Design Engineers to join the subsea industry. They are interested in hearing from people who have worked within the heavy engineering side of the automotive industry. People who have experience of Yellow Goods, Tractors etc will have transferable skills. This is an excellent opportunity to join a lucrative and buoyant industry.
As a Hydraulic/Mechanical Design Engineer, you will use your multi-disciplinary skills to produce practical new designs to tight timescales, within a supportive team environment.
An important member of the engineering team, your tasks will cover all aspects of the production of relatively complex one-off machines. You will take a wide range of roles, from initial design to machine commissioning, project engineering and customer visits.
*Producing designs that successfully integrate mechanical, hydraulic and control components, by working closely with all engineering disciplines
*Producing calculations and supporting design documents such as FMEA
*Creating Bills of Materials for your designs and liaising with purchasing and production personnel
*Being involved with assembly, commissioning and testing of new machines - this can involve working abroad or offshore
*Assisting with the support of existing equipment in service
