Associate Director Project Management

THE ROLE

I am now seeking an ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR PROJECT MANAGER MANAGENT to join a large firm of multi disciplinary construction consultants in either of their Cambridgeshire offices.

A background working for another UK firm of construction consultants or multi disciplinary consultants is essential.

You will be involved in running building construction projects from inception to completion across a range of projects including offices, residential, universities and healthcare buildings.

You will lead significant project management commissions taking overall responsibility for their successful delivery.

You will manage the project management team providing line management and mentoring.

THE CLIENT

My client is a large multi disciplinary firm of construction and engineering consultants offering clients a range of services including quantity surveying, project management, building surveying, health & safety, civil & structural engineering, architecture etc.

They have offices across the UK and overseas.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to currently be working as an Associate Project Manager or Associate Director and have some management experience.

You must have gained good experience of running a number of projects valued from £5m upwards.

Previous experience of construction projects for offices, residential, education and / or healthcare is required.

Ideally you will have broad based experience across a range of construction projects.

You will have a Construction / Built Environment Degree and you should be chartered e.g. RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE etc.

You must be able to drive the projects forward to completion within time and on budget.

You should have experience of project management from RIBA Stage 1 to completion.

You will have knowledge of a range of building contracts and have good contract administration experience.

You should have the ability to develop potential opportunities to secure more business.

Good communication skills are essential to deal directly with clients. You must be able to get on with people at all levels and be a good organiser to move the project forward.

Salary is from £60000 to £80000 plus £5K car allowance, pension, health insurance and other benefits.
