Contracts Manager

The Company:

We are working with a leading Regional Building Contractor whose NW Regional Construction team would generally deliver projects for clients principally based around Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside and Cheshire. They take on projects valued up to £10 Million including new build, extension and refurbishment schemes in the Education, Healthcare, Blue light, Commercial, Leisure and Industrial sectors.

They have consistently grown over the last 5 years, had a good profitable year in 2023-4 and are now in a strong financial position and have a really good pipeline of projects for 2024-25.

The Role:

They now have an opportunity for someone to join them as a Contracts Manager.
The role works closely with the Regional Director, Operations Director and the other Contracts Managers, managing a team of Site Managers and Assistants, working closely with the commercial and technical teams.
You will be responsible for the performance of your team managing 3-4 projects at any time.
You will be given a good degree of autonomy in this role.

You:

To be successful in this role you will need to have real drive and enthusiasm, you'll want to inspire and pass on the skills and knowledge you have developed in your career to your team.
It's likely that you'll have worked as a Contracts Manager for a building contractor overseeing projects similar to those mentioned above.

You will be based in or be able to commute to the North West of England daily.

You will need to have a good understanding of the construction process and great knowledge of construction contracts.

Good verbal and written communication skills.
