These days it can be hard to distinguish between companies- be it their caliber of work, progression, outside of work social activities, angle on sustainability and plans for growth. I'm currently working with a company that's looking to push the boundaries on many of these fronts.
This is a permanent opportunity for a design led Architect with at least 3 years experience. If you slip beyond this then don't let this deter you as a senior Architect may well also be considered, salary between £45-50,000 pa. This is a London based position.
If sustainability is your thing then this is a great chance to start for a company currently working on one of the largest passivhaus house schemes in Europe, with this being a big push in the come years it would be beneficial to have an interest in this area. The main stay of your work however will at first be within their residential and mixed-use teams. You'll need experience of working on flats ranging from 50-500 units in size and much of your work will be doing feasibility studies and progressing these through to the planning process. This is quite a client facing position so is ideal for you confident communicators, both verbally and graphically.
In time you'll work across a variety of teams and projects which requires a creative thinker with a proactive approach to solving problems. In terms of tools the practice in questions use Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, 3DS Max, SketchUp and more. Experience in some vizualisation software such as V-RAY or 3DS Max wouldn't hurt. Don't worry if you're not completely au fait with all of the above, a design led mind would trump a Revit guru in this instance.
After a successful few years this medium sized Architectural practice are looking for a strategic hire who can develop into an Associate in the coming years so if progressing in this manner is for you then give me a call.
