Policy Planning Consultant

Policy Planning Consultant required for Hertfordshire based Local Authority. Up to £55ph, flexible working

Your new company
This Local Authority based in Hertfordshire are looking for a Planning Consultant to work with their Policy team over the next 6 month plus. You will be able to work from home to begin with and there will be minimal in office work until hearings into the Local Plan begin.

Your new role
You will be tasked with helping a small team of Policy Planners in the build up to examination of the local plan. some overseeing of Junior staff but mostly formulating policies in Major areas and then gathering / delivering evidence at hearing.

What you'll need to succeed
A substantial knowledge of British Planning systems and previous work at either Principal of Team Leader level. You will have needed to have given evidence at a Local Plan examination hearing previously.

What you'll get in return
Flexible working options available. The hourly rate will be between £45ph and £55ph depending on experience. This is an urgent role so starting remotely is an option although longer term you will need to be in the office at least a day a week and more when Hearing Sessions are taking place. You could potentially complete this assignment part time to fit around other work although you would need to be available for the Local Plan Examination.
