Project Manager

THE ROLE

My client is a firm of building construction consultants providing cost management, project management and building surveying services to a range of clients.

They now have a vacancy for a PROJECT MANAGER to join them in MANCHESTER.

They are currently working on projects across a variety of sectors and clients, but this role will work on fit outs for offices, banks etc. for public and private sector clients.

You will deal directly with stakeholders, consulting engineers, architects, contractors etc. and be able to run your own projects.

You will need to have experience of construction projects from inception through delivery.

THE CLIENT

My client is a successful firm of construction consultants mainly focusing on project management, cost management and building surveying.

They have several UK offices and one European office too.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to have a BSc or BSc Hons or MSc in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or Civil / Structural Engineering and you will be MRICS or equivalent.

You will have become chartered as a Building Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor or Engineer and have gained a couple of years or more project management experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience of CAT B fit out as projects will include offices and banks for both private and public sector clients.

You will need to be good at procedures and systems in particular when dealing with public sector clients.

You should be able to run several projects concurrently and projects could be valued from £200K to £5m for the vast majority with some valued to around £20m.

The ideal candidate will have been working for another firm of construction consultants.

Excellent communication skills essential.

Salary will be around £50000 to £55000 plus car allowance, pension, fees, discretionary bonus etc.
