Senior/Architectural Technician (Microstation)

If working for a well-known multi-disciplinary practice is your thing then I've got the role for you. I'm currently on the search for not one, not two but three Technicians of varying levels to work for the Manchester office of a nationwide outfit. This is a permanent position with a salary up to £40,000 depending on experience. 

For this position it would be ideal to have some previous experience of working at a large scale multi-disciplinary practice but you won't be immediately discounted if that is not the case. You'll be responsibly for producing GA's, sections, plans and elevations as well as producing technical detailing packages. You'll be working within a team of technicians so you'll need to have that team player attitude but at the same time much of the role will be working from home so the ability to work independently is also important. Coordination experience would be ideal. There may be an element of assisting some of the junior staff from time to time.

Microstation is the main software in use, 2D and 3D, so you'll need to be comfortable with this. Additionally sound knowledge of 3DS Max, AutoCAD and SketchUp will be needed. You'll be working within the Pharma team which could include labs, healthcare and other complex buildings so it is vital that you have some background in something similar. Their work is very large scale so having previous experience at other large multi-disciplinary firms could put you ahead of the rest.
