Senior Quantity Surveyor - German speaking

THE ROLE

I am seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / PQS in the Building Construction industry who has good or fluent German and good English to join a firm of construction consultants in Germany based in Berlin.

You will work on construction projects from feasibility through project delivery dealing with pre and post contract work including feasibility, cost estimates, cost planning, tender documentation, contract administration, cost reporting, valuations, variations etc.

My client is working on a range of projects including offices, retail centres, warehousing, storage facilities and more.

You should be able to run your own projects working closely with the project management team.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing clients with Project Management and Quantity Surveying services.

They currently have one office in Berlin and may open a further German office soon. They are currently working on projects across Berlin and also overseas.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be Degree qualified in a construction related subject e.g. Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or similar building construction subject.

You may be chartered with the RICS or similar organisation.

You will need to have gained several years post graduate experience in quantity surveying doing the full range of cost management duties including both pre contract and post contract work.

You will have been working for a firm of building construction consultants or multi disciplinary consultants.

You must have an understanding of commercial and economic aspects of construction projects.

You will need fluent or at least good German. Good English is also required.

Good communication skills are essential and to have the ability to deal with people at all levels.

Salary is negotiable according to experience but in the region of Euro 70000 to 80000 per annum depending on your experience plus other benefits plus discretionary bonus.
