Mechanical Fitter - Sunderland

Connect Appointments are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Sunderland client on a full-time permanent basis.

Schedule of a Mechanical Fitter:

• Monday to Friday
• Day-shift

Duties as a Mechanical Fitter:

• Mechanical manufacturing (engineering)
• Hydraulics
• Ability to read drawings
• Work safely
• Work on your own and as part of a team
• Comfortable and competent working at heights
• Operation of overhead crane/slinging (or willing to learn)

Please Note - You will need to work inside the assembly area and outside in all weathers; plus, work overtime including weekend work when needed.

Mechanical Fitter person specifications:

• Have a minimum level 3 NVQ or equivalent in mechanical fitting
• Work using your own initiative
• Be able to work to deadlines
• Willing to learn new skills
